Password Based Door Locking System Using 8051 Program

This system demonstrates a password based door lock system using 8051 microcontroller wherein once the correct code or password is entered the door is opened and the concerned person is allowed access to the secured area.

Password based door lock circuit design uses five major components a microcontroller a relay a dc motor a 4 3 matrix keypad and a lcd. Predefined hard coded password is downloaded in the code. If the code matches the predefined hard coded code lock will open up and user can enter the room. In our diy digital lock system 8051 89c51 89c52 is our intelligent unit.

If password does not match door remains closed and a message wrong password access denied is displayed on lcd. Password based door locking system. User can change this password anytime he she wish using a keypad. In this circuit we have used multiplexing technique to interface keypad to the 8051 microcontroller for entering the password in the system. The main concept behind this project is a door latch opening using a password entered through the keypad. It is a simple embedded system with input from the keyboard and the output being actuated accordingly.

We type the password using keypad which is attached with the system. Here we are using a 4x4 keypad which has 16 keys. In this project i am going to design a simple automatic door lock system using 8051 89c51 89c52 microcontroller 16 2 lcd 4 4 numeric keypad and a digital lock. Here at89c51 microcontroller is used and it is an 8 bit controller. If we want to use 16 keys then we need 16 pin for connection to 89s52 but in multiplexing technique we need to use only 8 pins for interfacing 16 keys. This controller requires a supply voltage of 5v dc. Video of the project.

Again if another person arrives it will ask to enter the password. Our digital code lock project is a simple electronic number lock system or an electronic combination lock using 8051 which has a preset 5 digit password stored inside the program the system collects 5 digit user input compares the user input with the preset password inside program and if the user input and stored password matches access will be granted by opening the door with the help of relay for a few seconds and closing it automatically after stipulated time.
